Stop clicking on sketchy sites and downloading stuff you don’t know.
The very first step in virus protection is in adjusting your computer habits so that you don’t contract one. This is called “safe hex.” You should be old enough to understand that.
Which is not to say that having virus detection and removal tools isn’t a good thing. But if you aren’t getting them, you don’t need to be so focused on removing them.
ccleaner, ad-aware, spybot, malwarebytes and avast/avg are all highly regarded and free.
But if you trust them to protect you against careless behavior, you’ll be back here complaining that they didn’t catch the “latest and greatest” virus that found a way around them.
