Scanners are used for diagnosing problems through the obd2 system which stores codes (mainly powertrain but some other codes) that arise during operation but can be read without the engine on (with the computer getting power via the "on" position of your key). Find the location of the exe from task manager (show all users processes) and the name will be a random list of letters. First kill the exe and then the folder (usually of the same name). It's no use to run malwarebytes or superantispyware or others because pc tools blocks them. restart your pc to go into safe mode like:
